Adam Ball is Running for Ward 4 Council Seat

He is a lifelong believer in the importance of community and in giving back to the place he calls home. His wife, Krista, and he are raising their family here in Rideau Lakes, and they are proud to be part of a community where neighbours support one another and people are willing to lend a hand.

He owns and operates Newboro Lawn & Garden, a local small business that has given him firsthand experience in customer service, budgeting, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making. Running a business has taught him the value of listening, planning carefully, and following through on commitments.

Community involvement has always been important to him. He volunteers with the Newboro Community Enhancement Committee, where he has helped organize local events that bring families together. He has also been involved with the Newboro and Area Heritage Society, helping preserve and promote local history, including opening the historic Newboro Blockhouse to the public. This year he also organized a free T-ball program for local children because he believes every child deserves the opportunity to participate in sports, build friendships, and develop confidence.

He decided to run for Council because he believes that if you want to see positive change, you have to be willing to step forward and be part of making it happen. It’s easy to stand on the sidelines and criticize, but our communities are strongest when people are willing to get involved and work together.

If elected, he will approach every decision with respect, honesty, and a commitment to stewardship. Council’s responsibility is to be good stewards of taxpayers’ money, infrastructure, the natural environment, and the communities that future generations will inherit. He believes decisions should be made thoughtfully, transparently, and always in the best interests of the entire Township.

He is committed to listening to residents, treating everyone with respect, and working collaboratively with his fellow councillors and staff. His goal is to help build a stronger, more connected Rideau Lakes while ensuring that our communities remain vibrant, financially responsible, and welcoming places to live, work, and raise a family.
